From Kentucky to New Mexico

Greetings all.  In the last two weeks, not only have we had good meetings to present the work, but we have attended two different conferences, and the Lord has so graciously filled my cup to overflowing as My Heavenly Father rebukes, corrects, and teaches me through the preaching of His Word .

On Friday, May 31st we left Kentucky and drove as far as Columbia, MO.  That evening tornadoes rolled through Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, and eastward.  This storm front moved just south of us.  We watched much lightening activity from our hotel window.  There was a tornado touchdown close to St. Louis, MO that night, through which we had passed that afternoon.  We thank God for His protection.

On Saturday we drove to Heston, KS.  On Sunday morning we presented and preached to Grace Baptist Church (Pastor Mark Smith).  They were so hospitable.  We thank God for their kindness in allowing us to come.  Sunday afternoon we got a head start on our drive to New Mexico.

On Monday we arrived at Temple Baptist Church's Wilderness Camp in the mountains outside of Las Vegas, NM.  Temple Baptist Church is located in Santa Fe, NM, but their camp is located near Las Vegas, NM (Not to be confussed with Las Vegas, Nevada).  This is the first year that Pastor Jim Velasquez and Temple Baptist Church have held their missions conference at their wilderness camp.
