We have been staying this week, in between meetings, at Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church in Hamilton, OH (Pastor Ron Pittman). They are a supporting church. Bible-Way is working on a church plant near Dayton, OH and this week they are holding a tent meeting to give an opportunity for folks to hear the Gospel. Brother Ted Alexander, out of Arnold Baptist Temple of St. Louis, MO, was preaching. They have seen some visitors. We went over on Tuesday night and enjoyed the preaching of God's word and the pleasure of seeing some of the work ongoing in this church plant.
Planting a church is very costly, and I am not speaking on money. Money is the smallest cost. Planting a church costs countless hours and effort in prayer, fasting, preaching, witnessing, loving, walking, driving, and all the spiritual battles that accompany the above.
Praise God for the desire and the strengthening of churches like Bible-Way to spend and be spent.
