Wednesday, July 4th, 2012

We started our day at 6am and were on the road leaving Healdton, OK at 7am.  Our destination was Liberty Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, AR, or so we thought.  We headed south on I-35 into Texas and then caught a state route eastward across the top of Texas heading for southern Arkansas.  About two and a half hours into our trip we got a call from the assistant at LBC in Pine Bluff that the pastor (Shawn Cuthbertson) was in the hospital and was going to be there all day, with a cardiologist.  Please pray for the Cuthbertsons.  Brother Cuthbertson's wife has had serious ill health for some time and now this trial has been added to their load.

They had to (understandably) cancel the meeting.  We had previously arranged to spend our off days (Thursday through Saturday) at the missions apartment of Ozark Baptist Church (Pastor George Smith) in Bergman, AR.  Thankfully, this apartment was open for Wednesday night also and Brother Smith said come on in.  We changed course northward and by 5pm we arrived in Bergman.

We attended their mid-week service, and their watermelon eating 4th of July celebration afterward.  We also travelled a few minutes into Harrision, AR to enjoy a half hour fire works display after dark.

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness.
